From a brand new website to award dos and national press trips, here’s five peeks behind our week…
1. Launching our brand-new website
...And we’re LIVE!
As you’ll have probably already noticed - if you’re an avid reader of our blog - our shiny new website launched this week. From a quicker, more user-friendly layout and a brand refresh, to a behind the scenes video of our offices and snazzy new shots of the team, we’ve worked hard to perfect the new look – and we’re pretty made up with the end result!
Take a look around and let us know what you think! Huge big ups to Spindogs and Kin & Ilk for all their help.
2. Bringing London to Swansea for a weekend of culture
You may have heard about the reopening of one of Swansea’s most historic buildings last month, the iconic Glynn Vivian gallery, following a multi-million-pound restoration. The move is set to enhance the range of cultural sights and sounds in a region already home to Dylan Thomas and the recently discovered Jordean’s painting in Swansea Museum. Working with Visit Swansea Bay, we invited London Evening Standard to the area for a VIP viewing of the gallery and the opportunity to explore the rest of the city, soaking up the best cultural highlights of Wales’ second city. You can read the full online piece here.
3. Highlighting the link between housing and health
We often only think of public health in terms of doctors and hospitals, but as BBC Wales’ health team has been highlighting, there are many societal factors that contribute to the health of the general population. One such factor is housing, and our client Tirion Homes has been interviewed by the BBC’s Owain Clarke on how its new development – The Mill, Canton – will be a safe, sustainable and ultimately healthy environment for the residents who will live in the 800 homes.
4. Celebrating awards successes
It’s been a week of celebrations and award ceremonies for our client Waterstone Homes, who was proud to be one of the sponsors at the Nation Radio Sports Awards, recognising Welsh sporting success. To top the week off, they were winners themselves at the renowned UK Property Awards.
The team was in London for the prestigious industry awards and came home with not one, but TWO prizes, winning best Residential Development of the year in Wales for their Tusker’s Point beach front development in Ogmore, as well as a highly commended award in the Best Architecture Multiple Residence category for their 51° Latitude apartments in Tenby.
Just take a look at the gorgeous properties yourself and it’s not hard to see why!
5. Talking about the technical talent of tomorrow with Axiom
It’s been a big year for Newbridge-based Axiom Manufacturing Services. From scooping up silverware at the Made in Wales and European-wide Elektra Awards, to posting a record turnover, the contract electronics manufacturer has gone from strength to strength in the past twelve months. As such, it’s been the perfect time for University of South Wales students, Aimee Lewis and Joe McQuade, to join the company as apprentices. We’ve been telling their story this week as they join an industry-leading procurement division, and hopefully, begin stellar careers in manufacturing.

Congratulations are in order for our client Knife & Fork Food as its watering hole The Pilot in Penarth has made it into the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide 2017 for the fourth year running! Once again, The Pilot is the only entry from across Cardiff and the Vale. But with great Welsh ales, craft beers, carefully picked wines and the Knife & Fork twist on all its dishes…we’re really not surprised! Get yourself there this weekend to try it for yourself.
